Weekly Update - September 2nd, 2026
Although we're getting closer to fall, it certainly feels like summer still. I hope everyone is staying cool despite the heat. We've got a lot of events coming up this month; please take a look below for more info.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Join us tonight at 6:30pm as we take a closer look at Psalm 23 and John 10.
Friday Night Game Night
We'll have our bi-weekly game night this Friday, 9/4, downstairs in the church at 6:30pm. Come on out for a great evening of fellowship, food, and fun. Please bring a dish or snack to share.
Sunday Morning
We'd love to see you this Sunday as we gather to worship the Lord together.
- 9:30am – Bible Study for all ages
- 10:30am – Morning Worship
During our worship service, we'll continue our series on the book of Psalms by looking at Psalm 19. I'd encourage you to read through Psalm 19 before Sunday morning and continue to memorize Psalm 34:1-3.
(Also, for anyone who's interested, the book I mentioned this past Sunday is A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23).
Women's Ministry Events
- Wednesday, September 9th -- women's weekly Bible studies resume at 10:30 am downstairs at the church.
- Saturday, September 12th -- The women's ministry will be hosting a brunch in memory of Diane Fite from 10:00am to 12:00pm at church.
- Saturday, September 19th -- 2nd Annual Quad Cities Baptist Area Association Women United Luncheon from 12:00-2:30pm at Northcrest Calvary Baptist Church. For more information, contact Sandy at 309-558-0050.
Recurring events for the next week include:
- Coffee and Conversations (Monday at 8:30am at Sunny's)
- Young Adults Bible Study (Tuesday at 6:37pm at church)
- Men's Prayer (Wednesday at 8:00am at church, followed by breakfast at McDonald's)
Also, we'll host the Quad Cities Area Baptist Association Annual Picnic on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. More information to come soon!
